Description
DESCRIPTION A guitar string is made of a metal core (usually steel) and includes a metal winding on the heavier gauges. As you play your guitar or bass, the uncoated strings will quickly accumulate oils, dirt, sweat and bits of skin that get trapped between the windings. This lack of coating hastens the corrosion of the metal and begins to 'deaden' the sound of the string. FEATURES Elixir Nickel Nanoweb coating guitar strings use a protective fluoropolymer coating to cover the string via a patented process Coating is actually a microscopic sleeve that protects the string Entire surface of the string is coated including the gaps between the windings Last 3-5 times longer than uncoated strings Less time changing strings and more time playing SET 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 12002 Super Light .009 .011 .016 .024 .032 .042 12052 Light .010 .013 .017 .026 .036 .046
